3.00pm - 4.00pm CET:

The Post-COVID World: Economic & Market Outlook
COVID-19: 12 months after more than half the world’s population was confined in lockdown, new strains of the virus are forcing governments to keep restrictions tight for now. How did we go from shock to fear, then fear to anger and how can we move from anger to reconstruction? We will endeavour to answer these questions in economic, social, political, and geopolitical terms.
Macro outlook: With vaccination programmes making rapid progress and massive fiscal support from governments, economists are revising growth forecasts higher and investors have begun to fret about inflation, a paradigm shift after decades of anaemic price rises. What does all this mean for the global economy?
Global asset allocation views: The impending cyclical upturn, the size of Biden’s fiscal plans and emerging inflationary worries have combined to push bond yields ever higher since last summer. Will this surge last and what are our asset class preferences?
